The show is looking for experts with one clear evergreen idea. Here's what that means and how to apply.

Be a Guest

Got an evergreen idea worth 45 minutes?

The show looks for experts who have understood something deeply and can explain why it matters beyond the moment.

What we look for

Four things a good guest brings

One evergreen idea

One idea that will still matter in ten years, grounded in how people think, how markets work or how value is created. A principle, not a pitch.

Real expertise, real depth

You have done this work. You can explain the merits, the mechanics, the pitfalls and the applications. The episode should create value per minute for the audience.

Willing to explore, not just present

The best conversations go somewhere unexpected. Great guests follow the thread wherever it leads, rather than sticking to the talking points they came in with.

Good English

The show is recorded in English. Fluent, comfortable English is required. Previous podcast experience helps, though it is not essential.

Topics that fit well

  • Startup marketing, growth strategy and small-brand thinking

Poor-fit pitches

Pitches that are a poor fit

  • Topics tied tightly to a specific current trend or news cycle

  • Requests to promote affiliate offers or sponsorship packages

Guest FAQ

Common questions before applying

Can I apply from anywhere?
Yes. Guest applications are open internationally. The show is recorded remotely over video call.
Do I need previous podcast experience?
Previous experience helps, but the main requirements are a clear idea, comfort in conversation, a decent pair of headphones and a quiet space.
What is the interview format?
A one-on-one conversation with David Göz. The conversation follows the idea rather than a script. Most episodes run between 35 and 65 minutes.
Can I have a book, tool or service to promote?
Yes. The premise of the episode should still serve the audience first. A book or offer can be mentioned, but it cannot be the centrepiece of the conversation.
What kind of pitches are a poor fit?
Pitches that are too tied to the moment, too template-led or mainly built around self-promotion. The show is less interested in "the best email templates" and more interested in when email marketing is valuable, what people misunderstand about it, and how to build a better approach.
How long does the process take?
David reviews applications personally. If there is a fit, he will get in touch to schedule a pre-call before the recording.
Will my episode have show notes and a playbook?
Yes. Every episode receives structured show notes and a playbook — the key principles from the conversation turned into reusable frameworks. These are written by David after the recording.
Can I suggest a guest instead of applying myself?
Yes. Guest suggestions are welcome. The best suggestions are experts with a strong point of view, a useful evergreen idea, and the ability to help the audience think more clearly about marketing, brand, growth or business strategy.
